Vance has 30 years' experience that includes demonstrated
excellence in training curriculum development and design and
also in technical material design and production. Her experience
includes traditional document production, and design and development
of training content for delivery in a variety of media from
traditional to technology-based training.
Track Record of Successes. Serving in diverse capacities, as project director, instructional systems designer, training developer, instructor or writer, Ms. Vance has directed or contributed to the development of industrial and technical training curricula and materials for a variety of clients. Because of her initiative, DSI has formed strategic partnerships with Fortune 500 companies to assist them in meeting strategic business goals.
Self-starter and Team Player. Ms. Vance
continually demonstrates her ability to discover new, creative
solutions and to independently complete projects. Throughout
her career, Ms. Vance has met or surpassed company goals while
working in tandem with DSI teams, supervising professionals,
and interacting and consulting with clients. Committed to
a team's success, Ms. Vanceis involved from each project's
conception to its successful conclusion.
Experience in Training and Development.
Ms. Vance's experience in teaching and training includes practical
classroom instruction in this country and abroad; adult education
curriculum development; design and development of technical
training information; and the design and production of traditional,
video, multimedia, and Web-based training materials. Prior
to starting her own company, she developed and taught technical
and business writing courses for the Berlitz Schools of Languages
in The Hague, Holland; directed the Documentation/Software
Training Department of Computer Application Specialists; performed
as Documentation Specialist for an engineering firm, Developmental
Design of Austin; and taught in the public school system.
